Location:
Covla beach is 40 km from Panaji. It is adjacent to the Benaulim Beach. The nearest airport from Colva is Dabolim which is 68 km away. The beach is accessible to the tourists because of the improved communication system. The nearest rail head is at Karmali and its proximity to Panaji also encourages tourists to come here by car.

Goa has a predominantly catholic community and on the third Monday of the month of October, the community celebrates the day with much fanfare. This is one the most popular feast of Goa that you will ever see.

Nossa Senhora de Merces (Our Lady of Mercy) Church is a must see tourist attraction at Colva. You can watch the annual festival that is held here on the third Monday in the month of October. Just 2 km away from the Covla beach you will can frolic in the surf of the beautiful Benaulim Beach. Other attraction here is the bullfight. Nowhere in India will you find a place that showcases the bullfighting tradition the way it is done here. The beautiful beach is a fine place to stroll in the evening.
